For general attendance and to be considered for competitions, The Holiday Inn Dayton/Fairborn has released the following statement:

The Holiday Inn hopes to create an atmosphere that is convenient and enjoyable for all of our guests. The elevators to our guest rooms are located in our guest tower, around the corner from Kabochacon’s banquet space. You can get ready in your rooms and proceed straight to the banquet area in masks, make up and full costume. We ask that all costumes be mindful that we are a family friendly hotel. All private body parts must be covered at all times. If guest would like to go out to the main lobby, restaurant or outside areas apart from Kabochacon’s designated banquet area, full clothing and shoes must be worn.

For safety and security reasons, any costume props such as decommissioned guns, airsoft guns, paintball guns, BB guns, anything shooting projectiles, and live steel armory will NOT be allowed anywhere on the hotel property. If it’s questionable, then you might want to reconsider leaving these items at home. All costume props should be recognizably fake to any hotel guest. The Holiday Inn will have full discretion when determining what is deemed as acceptable. Again, if guest would like to go out to the main lobby, restaurant or outside areas apart from Kabochacon’s designated banquet area, all props must be left either in your guest room or banquet space.

As of yet, there is no place allocated in the convention to hold costume props. Failure to observe the hotel's policy will result in a verbal warning. Further defiance will result in having your badge revoked without refund and being escorted out of the convention.
